Penguins Program at St. George's Preschool
The Penguins program at St. George's Preschool is a special place where our littlest learners embark on an exciting journey of growth and discovery. We are thrilled to introduce you to this fantastic program designed to foster the development and curiosity of children who are at least 2 ½ years old by September 30.
Our Approach
At St. George's, we believe that early childhood education should be a playful adventure, and the Penguins program embodies this philosophy. We've created a nurturing and stimulating environment where our young Penguins can flourish. With a perfect blend of learning and play, our approach is designed to instill a love for learning from the very beginning.

What to Expect
Engaging Curriculum: Our Penguins enjoy a thoughtfully crafted curriculum that combines age-appropriate academic learning with hands-on play. We understand that at this tender age, children are like sponges, soaking up knowledge and experiences. Our goal is to make their educational journey as fun and memorable as possible.
Dedicated Educators: The Penguins program is guided by experienced and passionate educators who understand the unique needs of our youngest learners. These teachers provide a warm and caring atmosphere where your child's growth and development are nurtured with individual attention and support.
Exploration and Socialization: In the Penguins program, your child will have the opportunity to explore and socialize. We create an environment where they can learn, play, and develop important social skills, setting the foundation for future academic success and positive interactions with peers.
Flexible Schedule: The Penguins meet on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:15 am to 12:15 pm, with an option to attend Mondays as well. In addition to engaging lessons and play, our Penguins also enjoy participation in weekly Music & Movement, monthly Chapel Time, and monthly Bible Story. Penguins students may participate in Lunch & Play after their regular school day and STEAM Quest on Fridays. This schedule provides a gentle introduction to the school environment and offers flexibility for both children and their families.

Music & Movement
The Program that Inspires Creativity and Confidence.
At St. George’s Preschool, all students benefit from singing, dancing, and playing instruments. Creativity and exploration are central to our Music and Movement curriculum. Activities focus on developing age-appropriate gross motor skills and coordination while enjoying and exploring the musical world. Students learn about music and movement through comparatives such as fast vs. slow, quiet vs. loud, and heavy vs. light. Throughout the year, students learn to use and experiment with drums, jingle bells, scarves, bean bags, claves, parachutes, balloons, egg shakers, and so much more!

Chapel Time
Visits to the sanctuary of the church to learn about the practices of faith as well as theology in a way that is easy for the children to understand. There is interactive prayer, singing, and teaching activities that help the children understand the beliefs and values of following Jesus Christ. Our goal is to nurture the children in the faith that can transform the world for good.

Bible Story
The children will enjoy a lively reading of engaging tales of Bible heroes and classic Old and New Testament Bible stories. Discover how God's strength and love for all children are revealed through Jesus' life and ministry. These stories will inspire the children with hope and faith, letting them know they are cherished by God and part of God’s Plan.

Lunch & Play
The Ultimate Lunch Break.
Do you want to give your children more time to enjoy the fun and safe environment of St. George’s Preschool? If so, you should sign them up for our Lunch & Play program.
